Lisa made a new friend! 'Fax' We all miss Carlie a lot!
More iguanas - they are everywhere!
Lots of funny looking shrimps in the water - this one is a whit banded shrimp
In the background our boat at Terry's boat yard.
First weekend in March was Carnival here in St Martin with the grand parade happening. That was really nice, but to all my lovely friends in Koelle und Leverkusen. Is aber doch nich wie zu Hause!!! Da wird besser gefeiert!
Koelle Alaaf!!
And the following weekend was the Heineken Regatta - A very big regatta around the island and parts of the island. It goes for several days with parties on each night in different parts of the island with bands playing, nice food etc. Over 200 boats were in the races. Sadly we couldn't take part, as we were getting work done on the boat.
Terry and Pete with our new solar panels at the back! Terry has done a fabulous job!
We left the boatyard, went through another bridge, this one on the french side is a bit skinnier, we had 1 metre on either side of the boat before we would touch the sides! It was a bit scary. That night we anchored out, the first time since we have come to St Martin. Oh, it was soo nice!! We are missing anchoring and being at sea so much! A peaceful dinner and an early morning swim. So refreshing. After this back again for another few days into a Marina for a few last repairs...
We will leave St Martin on Monday or Tuesday (17th or 18th) and head straight for Panama. Before Panama we will have a week or so at the San Blas islands. The sail across the the Caribbean Sea to Panama will take about a week where we have of course no internet and then, when we are at the San Blas we still will have no internet. So I will not be able to update the blog after this for about 3 weeks.
So, see you all in a few weeks again, with news on our crossing and the beautiful San Blas Islands! We just wish, we could have Katie with us!! We miss her terribly!! But Katie, we are getting closer to you!
And if you want to follow our boat and see where we are in the world, go to www.shipfinder.com and just enter our ships name HAVACHAT and the site will show you where exactly we are in the world!
